Verbal bullying from management remains an underexplored yet pervasive occupational hazard with significant mental health implications for employees. This qualitative study explores the lived experiences and narrative accounts of employees subjected to verbal bullying by their supervisors and managers, illuminating the multifaceted psychological strain endured. Through in-depth interviews with 25 employees from diverse sectors, thematic analysis uncovered core themes including emotional distress, diminished self-esteem, job dissatisfaction, and coping mechanisms. Findings reveal verbal bullying as a profound chronic stressor with lasting impacts on mental wellbeing, contributing to anxiety, depression, and burnout. This study underscores the urgency for organizational policy reforms and targeted interventions to mitigate such workplace abuse and foster safer, supportive environments for employees. Recommendations include managerial training, employee support programs, and clear reporting channels.Downloads
