Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease causing airflow obstruction due to bronchoconstriction. It can be classified into intermittent, mild, moderate, and severe persistent asthma. Factors causing asthma include genetic, morphological, environmental, pathological, or pharmacological factors. Asthma symptoms include breathing variations, sneezing, headaches, rhinitis, tiredness, black spots, difficulty in sleep, wheezing, coughing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and even death. Asthma can cause complications like fatigue, underperformance, and inability to exercise, leading to health problems like high blood pressure, lungs problems, and psychological issues. Preventing asthma involves wearing masks, using air purifiers, avoiding dust, smoke, and pets. Treatment options include bronchodilators, anti-inflammatory drugs, mast cell stabilizers, and miscellaneous drugs like nitric oxide. Asthma affects around 300 million individuals and causes 250,000 premature deaths annually. This study at Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital and DHQ Hospital found four major types of drug-drug interactions, with missing doses, frequency, strength, diagnostic errors, and therapy duration being 18%, 10%, 30%, 24%, and 46%, respectively.Downloads
