Objective To explore the lived experiences of patients with chronic illnesses at KGN Hospital MTI, Bannu, and to understand the challenges they face in their healthcare journey. Methods A qualitative phenomenological study was conducted using semi-structured in-depth interviews with purposively sampled participants. Data were analyzed using Braun and Clarke’s thematic analysis framework. Results Four major themes emerged: (1) Physical and Emotional Burden, (2) Healthcare Access and Quality, (3) Social and Family Dynamics, and (4) Coping Strategies and Support Systems. Conclusion Chronic illness imposes a substantial burden on patients, both physically and emotionally. While healthcare providers offer support, gaps in access to medicines and social stigma persist. Improving healthcare services, patient education, and psychosocial support can enhance patients’ quality of life.Downloads
